As you can see the route is not directly west to east.
It is our intention to cycle from Southport to Hornsea taking the route that runs from Southport to Liverpool to Barnsley to Doncaster to Selby to Hull and then finally Hornsea. We’re told that this route is 309 miles.
The trail is mostly off-road but does have a few sections where we’ll have to ride on ordinairy roads. We’ve got to cross the Pennines which will be one of the harder days although we have heard that the head on wind between Liverpool and Warrington will make for just as hard work.
For further information you can refer to the trail’s Official Website which has an abundance of comprehensive facts for your reading pleasure!
