The charity we really want to support is Cancer Research UK
We’ve chosen it because we all know someone that’s been affected by, or died due to the wrath of cancer. Cancer Research UK provides money towards research into all cancers rather than concentrating on just one in particular. By supporting Cancer Research UK, we’re able to ensure that we and our sponsors know that any monies raised will be going towards a better future for everyone.
We really believe in this cause. 1 in 3 of us will develop cancer. Today alone, 700 people inside of the UK will be told that they’ve got cancer! If you think that’s bad then check the statistics about Cancer here. Due to research already carried out, many people have already seen their lives go on where they’d previously not have survived. Cancer Research UK’s annual spend is around £213 million - most of which is raised by people like us doing fund raising events.
